UAE’s Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, Entertainment & Cinemas has become the new Middle East distribution partner for American diversified multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Pictures.
The licensing agreement begins with The Suicide Squad which will be released in IMAX and other formats at VOX Cinemas and movie theatres around the region.
Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, Warner Animation Group, and DC-based film production are all part of the Warner Bros. Pictures Group. Its portfolio of films comprises worldwide theatrical releases and films premiering exclusively on HBO Max.
Majid Al Futtaim operates 615 screens throughout eight Middle Eastern cities, making it the region’s largest exhibitor, as well as a substantial regional film distribution business.

Recently, VOX Cinemas has introduced CTRL, the region’s first interactive movie experience, which allows the audience collectively to decide how the plot unfolds. As per the statement, the new cinematic experience has been launched in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in collaboration with entertainment and technology business Kino Industries.
Last month, Majid Al Futtaim has collaborated with electric vehicle platform EV Labs to launch special EV pop-ups in the region. The EV pop-ups will launch during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2021.
