Vodafone Qatar, a leading telecommunications company in Qatar, has unveiled the world’s first AI-powered ‘Instant SIM’.

The new Instant SIM, powered by AI’s Electronically Know You Customer (EKYC) feature, offers a seamless experience by eliminating the need to rely on data or Wi-Fi connectivity. Customers can self-activate the benefits of a Prepaid or Postpaid connection in seconds.

The latest innovative launch empowers the customers to manage the usage of smartphones on their own terms, requiring just an Instant SIM pack to get themselves connected. Users can access the entire verification process, choose their plan and activate their line anytime from anywhere in Qatar, ensuring an unparalleled and seamless experience.

The Instant SIM will be available for purchase from over 2,600 locations including Al Meera, Grand Mall, Lulu, Monoprix and Safari Hypermarkets, WOQOD, Hamad International Airport. Customers can also order from online delivery platforms, such as Talabat mart and Snoomart.

Vodafone customers can also choose either a physical SIM or an eSIM. They do not require a credit or debit card in order to activate their line, making it effortless to get connected without relying on stores.

Users can activate the Instant SIM by simply inserting their new SIM into a smartphone and scanning the QR code provided. From there, the customer can select either Prepaid or Postpaid. Prepaid customers will require their passports and for Postpaid packages, QID will be required.
