Qatar’s leading telecommunications service provider, Vodafone Qatar and the tech giant, Microsoft have extended their existing partnership in order to provide more digital solutions to businesses across the country.
The companies will integrate their innovative solutions, by incorporating Microsoft Azure as part of Vodafone’s internet of things (IoT) product and service offering. It will provide highly secure, reliable, and customized features and benefits to Qatar-based business customers, including government institutions, public and private enterprises.
Microsoft Azure acts as a key platform to host, develop and deliver Vodafone’s IoT products. This includes its IoT Fleet Management solution, which enables the delivery of real-time information such as traffic data, vehicle location, fuel consumption, vehicle status and employee work-time.
This strategic partnership between Vodafone and Microsoft will also roll out new innovative solutions that will contribute to the local market’s digital transformation, allowing various industries and organizations of all sizes to access those that best suit their needs.

According to reports, since announcing a $5 billion investment in IoT and intelligent edge, Microsoft has added over 100 new services and features to its IoT platform, secured IoT endpoints at scale with Azure sphere, and onboarded over 10,000 IoT partners from the intelligent edge to the intelligent cloud.
