American Security Operations Centre (SOC)-as-a-service provider company Cysiv has expanded its operations into the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region and is making significant investments to fuel its growth in this region.
In 2020, Cysiv acquired and rebranded SecureMisr, a Cairo-based provider of the managed SOC and related security services, in order to accelerate its growth in the region. Cysiv, which was incubated within cybersecurity firm Trend Micro, was spun out as an independent company and publicly launched in 2018.
Cysiv MEA now offers SOC-as-a-service from its global network of SOCs, including its newest one in Cairo, Egypt. Additionally, the company has opened a sales office in Dubai and is expanding its sales team in the region. These investments were driven by the rapid growth in demand for managed detection and response (MDR) services and the need for global cybersecurity expertise.
SOC-as-a-service provides clients with round the clock security and compliance benefits. Cysiv can deliver substantially good outcomes and a better level of service than a conventional on-premise SOC by using a cloud-based security information and event management (SIEM) framework, along with data science and automation.
“We’re very excited to be expanding our business into this region, and it is a privilege and honor to be serving such recognizable organizations in the banking, telecom, energy, and other commercial sectors, as well as the public sector. The investments we’re making in the region reflect our belief in the incredible opportunity, and the tremendous talent and resources, of the region.”
“SOC-as-a-Service provides organizations with an essential weapon in the ongoing need for stronger defenses against cyberattacks that continue to become more frequent, difficult to detect by traditional means, and more damaging. The team is looking forward to introducing clients to SOC-as-a-Service,” stated Badr Khairy, Chairman of the board for Cysiv MEA.
