University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has hosted a conference on “Managing the Transition in Competency-Based Learning and Development in the Energy Industry,” in collaboration with PetroSkills.

The event gathered industry leaders from oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, alongside government officials, to explore emerging trends and challenges in competency-based learning within the energy industry.

The conference stressed the significance of adapting to the rapid transformations in the energy sector by enhancing the workforce. The conference also highlighted the importance of competency-based continuous learning in empowering professionals to tackle the evolving challenges of this transformation, by integrating latest digital technologies, cultivating a safety culture, and developing risk management skills related to renewable energy and transforming to a low-carbon economy.
