The UAE Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs has signed agreements with the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and TRENDS Research and Advisory.
The collaboration aims to enhance the UAE Government’s strategic intelligence tools and drive the goals of the ‘’We the UAE 2031” vision. The signing ceremony was held at the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils 2024 (AMGFC24) in Dubai, which brought together 500 officials, experts and academics from 80 countries.
The MoU will enable partners to benefit from the content of the “We the UAE 2031 Strategic Intelligence” platform, which was launched during AMGFC24. The innovative platform, supported by AI and based on a deep pool of global knowledge and data informed by over 2,500 international experts and over 450 sources, enables the development of government strategies and policies.
The MoU with the UICCA will center on the environmental and sustainability aspects of We the UAE 2031, aiming to foster the exchange of best practices, empower national talents, and promote participation in international sustainable development initiatives.
The agreement also falls in line with the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. It was signed by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of UICCA, and Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs.
“This partnership reinforces the essential role played by the UICCA in achieving the country’s strategic sustainability and climate goals. Through our contribution to the We the UAE 2031 vision, we aim to foster innovative climate solutions and boost the UAE’s efforts to achieve net zero by 2050. Climate action is a shared responsibility, and by integrating efforts across sectors, the UICCA is committed to contributing to building a more sustainable and resilient future for the UAE and the world.”
