The UAE market has been opened in Qingdao, China, celebrating the 40 years of UAE-China relations.

This inaugural event, a part of UAE-China Festival, will run till 21st July. A wide range of Emirati products and art are being displayed to the people of China. The market has specialized pavilions, dates selling, traditional handcrafts, as well as popular Emirati cuisine. There is also special exhibition to introduce and document the development of ties between these two countries.

The event displays the UAE’s national identity and culture through the showcasing of Emirati’s artistic performances and traditional art workshops. This is a part of activities conducted in both countries as a celebration of 40 years of diplomatic ties, aiming to further improve mutual understanding and open new opportunities for cooperation in various fields.

The relation between China and UAE has been strengthening in recent years. “The UAE is the China’s biggest partner from Arab world,” Emirate Ministry of Economy once stated. The cooperation between two countries covers many sectors such as energy, finance, force, technology etc.

The trading between the UAE and China began in 1984. The UAE has an embassy in Beijing and China has its embassy in Abu Dhabi. The UAE is also a part of China’s global infrastructure strategy, the belt and road initiative (BRI).

Last week, Falcon Shield 2024 was held, the air force training exercise between the UAE and China. The aim is to enhance the mutual understanding and trust, deepen exchange and to foster the cooperation between the two air forces. The training will last till the late July.
