Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, the UAE’s Assistant Minister of Foreign Affair for Political Affairs has met Hadja Lahbib, Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs to consolidate the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Nusseibeh met Lahbib before the second round of Political Consultations between the two countries. The bilateral cooperation opportunities especially in the field of economy and trade as well as the recent humanitarian crisis in Gaza were discussed and reviewed.
The consultation was co-chaired by Lana Nusseibeh on behalf of the UAE, and Theodara Gentzis, President of the Board of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussion focused on bilateral relations and considered ways to bolster economic and trade cooperation; also emphasized the significance of such collaborative approach in addressing common concerns and enhancing shared interests.
The representatives of both nations also reviewed their recent regional developments and discussed on enhancing diplomatic ties and cooperation in various fields. This contains strengthening economic and trade relations and collaborating in different multilateral forums.
Lana Nusseibeh commented that the current improved state of bilateral relations between the UAE and Belgium, and emphasized the importance of strengthening ties across various fields. The UAE ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg, Mohamed Al Sahlawi, accompanied Lana Nusseibeh in her meetings.
The consultation will not only foster economic relations of these two countries but also lead to global economic stability. In addition to centering on economy and trade, security issues were also highlighted with an aim to promote a more secure world.
