Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed the executive program for tourism cooperation for 2024-2028, as part of the agenda of the Bahraini-Emirati Joint Ministerial Committee.
The agreement was signed by Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, and Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the UAE.
Fatima Al Sairafi highlighted the historic Bahrain-UAE relations, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
Al Sairafi commended the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, in advancing collaboration to achieve common goals.
Al Sairafi highlighted the executive program as a significant step in strengthening tourism cooperation, promoting sustainable growth in the sector, and opening new avenues for collaboration, solidifying both countries’ positions as distinguished tourism destinations.
She said that the program includes several key areas, such as joint promotion of each country’s unique tourism offerings, organizing specialized training programs to develop tourism and hospitality skills, and exchanging expertise and knowledge.
These efforts aim to deepen tourism integration and further enhance ties between the two nations, she added.
Also, the Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) as part of the agenda of the Bahraini-Emirati Joint Ministerial Committee.
