A delegation from TRENDS Research & Advisory and scholars from Korea University have explored ways to enhance research and academic collaboration between the two institutions.

The panel discussion was held in Seoul, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, and Dr. Kim Dong-one, President of Korea University. Several academics and experts were also present.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, kicked off the session by presenting Dr. Kim Dong-one with the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of his support in opening TRENDS’ eighth global office on the University’s campus and the University’s partnership with TRENDS during the international conference on artificial intelligence organized by the UAE Embassy in Seoul.

In addition to the TRENDS Research Medal, Dr. Kim received the copy of the book titled ‘Cybersecurity in the Age of AI’, which was launched by TRENDS’ Seoul Office during its inauguration ceremony.

Both sides explored prospects for cooperation during the session, highlighting the significance of activating channels of scientific and intellectual dialogue between research and academic institutions to serve shared goals and enhance future foresight.

The discussions also emphasized the importance of prioritizing specialized research in modern technological fields, such as artificial intelligence and its multiple applications.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali expressed his enthusiasm in TRENDS collaborating with Korea University, one of the Asia’s leading institution, and inaugurating TRENDS’ eighth global office on its campus.

Furthermore, TRENDS’ CEO underscored this as a key step towards strengthening cooperation between the two entities and facilitating the exchange of expertise and personnel.
