France-based tech startup Immertech has introduced a teleportation capsule where tourists can travel without moving at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Voyager by Immertech is a spatio-temporal capsule that projects visuals in a dedicated 360° space using a unique and proprietary algorithm. The capsule, which can hold up to four people at a time, can take live images from any location in the world using its 360° camera.

“The time machine option is also available as users can be transported virtually to relive a Wembley concert, Martin Luther King’s speech and more,” as per the reports.

“It is the first teleportation and time machine in the world. Our technology uses an algorithm for managing images produced by cameras. In terms of application, our product can be used by large groups, for example in the construction sector, to present new construction sites and projects, or in the energy sector, to perform maintenance on oil rigs and nuclear power plants. In addition, this immersive capsule can also be used for entertainment by offering time travel, based on reconstructed settings.”

“While the global pandemic has shown us, that new technologies can meet new needs on a daily basis, from the comfort of our own homes, this solution is intended to be a new sustainable mode of transport, which enables us to travel around the world without moderation,” according to the statement.

Further, another use of this capsule is that it allows people to communicate from anywhere on the earth to somewhere else. The startup is showcasing its products and trying to get the opportunity to meet with potential international investors by participating in the France Pavilion entitled “Lumière, Lumières” at Dubai Expo 2020.
