Tanmiah Food Company, a market-leading provider of fresh and processed poultry and other products, has partnered with Chengdu Design & Research Institute (CDI), a Chinese contractor firm.
The partnership aims to construct 100 poultry broiler houses across Saudi Arabia. This collaboration comes as a key part of Tanmiah’s long-term strategy, which seeks to enhance food security, and contribute to self-sufficiency, while driving Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
The signing ceremony was held at Tanmiah’s head office. The contract, signed by Tanmiah’s subsidiary, Agricultural Development Company (ADC), covers the construction of infrastructure and equipment for 100 cutting-edge poultry broiler houses. With the integration of automation and Industry 4.0 technologies, these facilities will ensure optimal sustainability, operational efficiency, and animal wellbeing.
Work on the project is expected to commence in January 2025, aiming for completion by December 2026. This groundbreaking development will not only boost Tanmiah’s production capacity but also contribute to Saudi Arabias’s strategic objectives of self-sufficiency in poultry production, reducing reliance on food imports and enhancing the domestic economy.

After the signing ceremony, CDI representatives joined the company in planting new trees at Tanmiah’s landmark One Million Tree project site in Shagra, Riyadh, which was recently inducted into the Saudi Green Initiative, highlighting the Company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The new facilities are expected to begin commercial production by January 2027. With the integration of local content and adherence to the highest standards of sustainability, this project highlights Tanmiah’s commitment to catering to the needs of domestic consumers while contributing to the national development goals of Vision 2030.
