Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has introduced the Smart Assistant Service and the Smart City Management Platform.
The latest digital services were revealed during the third Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit) in Riyadh. The new services harness the potential of generative artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The Smart Assistant Service can be accessed through the “Balady” application and the ministry’s website. The service is designed with an aim to streamline communication with customers. It enables customers to interact and get immediate response to their inquiries, ensuring an enhanced experience.
This service offers clear and instant answers about the ministry’s services, regulations, and related requirements 24/7 without human intervention.
Additionally, the ministry also introduced the Smart City Management Platform (Madinaty) during the summit. This platform is designed to serve as a comprehensive centralized system for managing smart solutions for environmental sanitation and cleanliness within cities. It encompasses all stages, from waste sources and construction and demolition waste to the organization of waste and disposal in designated landfills.
The platform functions with IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, this enables the monitoring of cleaning operations and the tracking of vehicles during transportation routes, with a focus on improving the efficiency of smart municipalities in their operational work for cities.
The introduction of these digital services fall in line with the ministry’s goal to drive digital transformation, support smart municipality initiatives, and provide quality services to various sectors and individuals within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s cities.
