H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, has issued a number of decrees, revamping boards of various bodies.
Those on the board of the British University in Dubai, Dubai worries, Dubai Women Establishment, and the Watani Al Emarat Foundation are part of the restructure.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum is chairman of the board of the British University in Dubai, while the head of the university serves as vice-chairman. From the date this Decree comes into effect, the Board of Directors will serve for three years.
The other members of the Board include Mr. Hussain Hassan Mirza Al Sayegh, Mr. Ahmad Buti Al Muhairbi, Sheikh Hind Ali Rashid Al Mualla, and a representative from Dubai Holding, British Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Emirates NBD, Rolls-Royce International Ltd, British Business Group, and Atkins.
Ms. Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy chairs Dubai Cares’ Board of Directors, with Mr. Tariq Mohammed Al Gurg serving as Vice Chairman. Mr. Sami Ahmed Al Qamzi, Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Karam, and Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi are among the board’s other members.
Ms. Mona Ghanem Al Marri, the CEO of the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE), chairs the board, while Ms. Hala Badri serves as Vice Chairman. In addition to the CEO of DWE, other board members include Ms. Huda Al Hashimi, Ms. Huda Buhumaid, Ms. Khawla Al Mehairi, Ms. Mona Bu Samra, Ms. Fahima Al Bastaki, Ms. Aljoud Lootah, and Ms. Moaza Saeed Al Marri.
The last decree issued guidelines for the Watani Al Emarat Foundation’s board of directors, which will be chaired by Mr. Tamim Al Muhairi. Mr. Saeed Al Aweem, vice chairman, Mr. Mohammed Al Theeb, Mr. Mohammed Al Hali, Mr. Dherar Belhoul, Mr. Abdulla Al Jatbi, and Mr. Mohammed Al Tayer are among the other members.
