The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) and the UAE’s largest business setup advisory firm Creative Zone have launched its program ‘She Leads.’
The initiative aims to identify and incubate 100 women-led startups from the UAE.
‘She Leads’, a first of its kind, is intended to be a ten-week program that will train, support and nurture UAE’s 100 women entrepreneurs.
“Business incubators and accelerators play an important role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem by not only offering training and service but also connecting business owners to opportunities and resources, that will help them overcome various challenges that limit business development and growth.”
Acclaimed industry experts, coaches and business leaders from UAE and abroad are a part of this program to train the aspirants and conduct workshops through online platforms.
The training module will focus on business launch strategy, scaling and funding, impactful leadership, financing, marketing and distribution.
‘She Leads’ aims at helping women to set up successful businesses by giving them potential training in developing critical capacities like gaining access to capital, networking and technical assistance.
Women entrepreneurs have an important role in the economy and they have to create new opportunities in the sector. Even though there is a huge surge in the number of women entrepreneurs in the past few years there are a lot of obstacles that come in the way of their growth, says the business development manager of DBWC, Nadine Halabi.
“We aim to level up the field by providing women with an equal opportunity in developing their skills and knowledge and connecting them to prospects and resources,” she added.
Once the program is completed, two of the most promising participants will get a free business solution which includes a trade license, tax and legal services.
Some of the efficient applicants will get the chance to be part of the second phase of the program- ‘X Scale’, where they get a life-altering chance to vocalize their business plans with investors, successful entrepreneurs and business tycoons.
