A delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has concluded the visit to the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIT) and other economic institutions and communities in Tunisia, to explore and enhance cooperation in exhibition sector.

The visit focused on discussions about ways to strengthen joint work in key and emerging economic sectors and to enhance cooperation between private sector entities in both countries. Both parties also delve into the potential participation of the developers of Tunisian real estate and companies in the upcoming edition of Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES”.

The delegation members comprised of Ibrahim Rashid  Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department at SCCI, Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication Department at SCCI, and Sultan Abdullah Al Ali, Head of the Investor Services Department at SCCI.

The members met the President of CCIT, Mohamed Monsif Ben Jomaa and other officials. At the meeting, they discussed on how to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in exchange of economic data, investment opportunities and the agendas of events and exhibitions organized in both countries.

The delegation also discussed and shared insights on best practices in enhancing entrepreneurs and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) with Tarek Cherif, President of the Tunisian Confederation of Citizen Enterprises (CONECT).

Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan highlighted that the Sharjah Chambers is dedicated to strengthening the cooperation with its counterpart in the Republic of Tunisia at various industrial and commercial levels.

Al jarwan emphasized the significant opportunities to strengthen the bilateral trade and economic relations, also stated that the efforts are aimed at exchanging delegations and visits, organizing trade missions and economic forums, and strengthening cooperation in the exhibition sector. It is a crucial sector that attracts investments, facilitate deals as well as the exchange of experience and expertise.

The delegation visited various estate companies in Tunisia and was shown ecological projects that meet the highest standards of sustainable development during their visit. The delegation also invited Tunisian companies to participate in the upcoming real estate exhibition “ACRES”, which will be held in early 2025 at the Expo Center Sharjah.

Dr. Eman Al Salami, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Tunisia, was informed about the objectives of the visit, the outcomes, and the importance in terms of strengthening bilateral economic and investment connections.
