The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has discussed ways to enhance business collaboration between Sharjah and Austria with the Austrian Embassy in the UAE.
Both sides also explored avenues for building bilateral partnerships that would bolster the business environment for both regions and elevate trade, industrial, and investment collaboration among private sector entities and institutions in both countries.
The meeting was held during a business meeting between Mr. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, and Dr. Etienne Berchtold, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the UAE.
According to the statement, “Also present at the meeting that took place at the Chamber’s headquarters were several members of the SCCI Board of Directors, Ms. Fatima Khalifa Al Muqarrab, Director of SCCI’s International Relations Department, and Mr. Johannes Brunner, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria.”
During the gathering, the two sides discussed ways to reinforce cooperation and coordination between the Sharjah Chamber and the Embassy of Austria in the UAE. Discussions also touched on enhancing communication channels to facilitate joint events, reciprocal visits of business leaders, missions, and trade delegations from both sides to introduce the business communities in Sharjah and Austria to the advantages of investing in the two countries.
Highlighting the significance of the meeting, Mr. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais underscored the potential of such dialogues in shaping future strategic plans and discovering avenues of cooperation between Sharjah and Austria. Mr. Al Owais emphasized the role of such interactions in solidifying trade bonds and mutual investment endeavors.
The SCCI Chairman further noted that many Austrian businesses have already established presence within the Emirate of Sharjah, being registered with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and are specialized in a wide range of economic sectors.
