The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in training and support for professional certifications in data and artificial intelligence (AI).

The signing took place during the third edition of the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit) in Riyadh. The MoU includes strengthening collaboration in e-learning, organizing joint workshops and training sessions, and exploring the possibility of supporting professionals who have obtained certifications in data and AI.

The MoU was signed by the General Supervisor of Capacity Building at SDAIA Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi and Deputy Director-General for Business at the Human Resources Development Fund Firas bin Abdulaziz Aba Al-Khail.

SDAIA is committed to achieving ambitious targets in building the national capabilities of specialists and experts in data and artificial intelligence. As the national reference for their development, organization, and handling, SDAIA is working in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and collaborating with government and private entities to provide training programs and camps to address the national skills gap in these fields.

Earlier, SDAIA and Microsoft signed an MoU to strengthen their ongoing collaboration and advance innovation in the Kingdom’s Generative AI sector. This includes the development of a joint Center of Excellence dedicated to accelerating innovation in the field of Generative AI, with a special focus on Arabic Large Language Models.
