Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) is organizing the second edition of the Global AI Summit under the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity’, at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from 13 to 15 September 2022.
The summit will be organized under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA.
President of SDAIA, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi highlighted the Kingdom’s interest and constant keenness to provide various forms of support and success reasons for this summit at all local, regional and international levels.
“It has become clear that AI technologies have begun to be used in our daily lives and will have a significant impact in all aspects of life. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set the visions of this modern technical field within the objectives of its Vision 2030, and will seek through this global summit to become a major forum in the world in the field of AI after the success of the first summit held in 2020.”
The summit will explore everything related to the field of AI technologies from the present reality, challenges and aspirations towards benefiting AI through the various presentations from the participants, including experts and specialists from senior officials in the government agencies and major tech companies in the world, that highlight the latest research and technologies in this field, exchange experiences with them, and discover investment opportunities related to the AI tools during the next phase.
It will discuss a number of topics that show the implications of AI on the most important sectors, such as, smart cities, human capacity development, health care, transportation, energy, culture and heritage, environment and economic mobility, with the aim of finding solutions to the current challenges and maximizing the use of the AI technologies.
The first edition of the Global AI Summit was held two years ago with the participation of more than 200 experts and decision-makers over two days with dialogues of global importance, whether in terms of recovering from the pandemic or trends that shape the field of the AI, while its activities were attended by more than 13,000 interested people in the fields of AI, and the views of the summit on social networks exceeded 5 million views.
