The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has organized the ‘Saudi Night’ event in Las Vegas, United States.

The event highlighted the Kingdom’s mining investment opportunities and initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Vice Minister Khalid Almudaifer, and a group of American and international investors attended the event.

Alkhorayef stressed Saudi Arabia’s progress and initiatives focused on Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Kingdom’s economy beyond oil. The Vision seeks to attract investments, foster sustainable growth, and enhance the quality of life for citizens, by setting new benchmarks in the private sector to drive these goals.

The Saudi Industry Minister highlighted that the industry and mining sectors play a pivotal role in supporting the Kingdom’s economic transformation through the efficient utilization of natural resources, fostering innovation, and enhancing the investment environment, contributing to establishing a diversified and sustainable economy.

Alkhorayef also stated that the Kingdom’s mining sector enjoys competitive advantages that make it an attractive sector for both foreign and domestic investors. The advantages include the availability of a stimulating investment environment that combines regulation and legislation, the availability of abundant mineral resources, special economic zones, and facilitated licensing procedures. Additionally, there is a package of enablers and incentives for investors provided by the industry and mineral system.

The ‘Saudi Night’ event, held on the sidelines of Saudi Arabia’s participation in MINExpo International 2024 Las Vegas, also featured Saudi students’ presentations on products and handicrafts that reflect the Kingdom’s heritage.
