Saudi Arabia is set to join Routes World 2024 under the theme ‘Saudi Arabia the Global Hub’, to expand the Kingdom’s global reach.
The event, scheduled from October 6-8 in Bahrain, is a flagship event in the aviation industry. Routes World 2024 is expected to gather over 2500 officials and decision-makers from leading airlines, airports, and industry stakeholders worldwide, with a focus on shaping the future of air services and driving global economic growth.
Saudi Arabia’s participation includes some of the kingdom’s key players such as MATARAT Holding, the King Salman International Airport, the Saudi Air Connectivity Program, the Red Sea International Airport, the Riyadh Airports Company, the Jeddah Airports Company, the Dammam Airports Company, and the Airports Cluster 2 Company.
The country’s presence is not just about the present, but also about the future. By 2030, Saudi Arabia aims to revolutionize its aviation sector by investing in infrastructure to accommodate 330 million passengers and to transport 4.5 million tons of cargo.
This ambitious goal falls in line with the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy. The strategy seeks to boost the Kingdom’s global connectivity and foster innovation to position Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the global aviation industry.
The effort also centers on creating seamless travel experiences, elevating customer satisfaction, ensuring safety and promoting environmental sustainability in the aviation industry.
The 29th edition of Routes World will include panel discussions, workshops, and intensive meetings focused on enhancing the regional and global air transport industry.
The sessions will also delve into the airlines’ financial and operational performance, prospects for future growth, and key issues such as privatization, mergers, sustainability initiatives, and environmental conservation.
