Saudi Arabia’s International Tourists have recorded a 73 percent rise in arrivals, while revenues from international tourism have surged by 207 percent, according to the latest World Tourism Barometer by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Data released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) indicates that Saudi Arabia remains the leader among G20 nations in terms of growth in international tourist numbers and tourism revenues. The Kingdom has experienced a significant increase in tourist arrivals, with 17.5 million international visitors recorded in the first seven months of 2024, compared to the same period in 2019.

In 2023, Saudi Arabia saw a 56 percent increase in international tourists, totaling 27.4 million visitors, placing the country at the top of the UN Tourism Data Dashboard for growth in tourist numbers among major destinations.

Furthermore, the Kingdom’s travel account achieved a historic surplus of 48 billion riyals in 2023, reflecting a 38 percent annual growth, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence as a global tourism destination.
