Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has discussed ways to enhance investments between the Kingdom and China in the aquaculture sector with representatives of more than 60 specialized Chinese companies.

The discussions came during the participation of the ministry’s delegation, represented by the National Fisheries Development Program, in the Global Investment Promotion Conference, which was held in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.

The conference aims to discuss the shape of the investment promotion and facilitation landscape beyond the pandemic with global leaders in a satellite event of UNCTAD’s World Investment Forum. The conference displays investment opportunities and policies for investing in Shenzhen as well as presents Shenzhen’s first-class business environment to the world.

“This year, the Conference set up the Investment Outcome Exhibition Area for the first time to present the investment outcomes and development plans of the districts and departments of the city in recent years. An area was also set up for an exhibition on local renowned brands to display products in advanced manufacturing, consumer electronics, trendy lifestyles, and the new-style tea industry,” as per the statement.

During the conference, the two sides discussed investment opportunities, improving investment relations between the two countries.

According to the statement, “Both the parties showcase the investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s aquaculture sector, discussing the development of investment opportunities, and enhancing expertise exchange between the two countries.

Furthermore, they explored ways of enhancing efforts to develop economic and investment ties between the Kingdom and China, developing quality investments, and enabling the private sector to benefit from investment opportunities in the two countries.
