Sanad, a global aerospace engineering and leasing solutions provider owned by Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala, has signed a partnership agreement with Airbus to provide MRO services for the engines of Airbus aircraft.

The agreement was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow, where Ismail Ali Abdulla, Head of UAE Clusters at Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform, and Siddiqui, Sanad Group Chairman, represented Sanad while Mikail Hourari, President at Airbus Africa and Middle East, represented Airbus.

The engines that come under this agreement are Rolls Royce Trent 700, International Aero Engines V2500-A5, and the CFM LEAP-1A which all power Airbus’ single-aisle aircraft, such as the A320 and A321, and wide body aircraft including A330.

This partnership also falls in line with Sanad’s strategic vision, to provide its diverse expertise and support the aviation sector, contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
