The Dubai Land Department, DLD, has announced the launch of its “Green List” project to empower the real estate industry and provide additional services to its professionals.
The project which is developed through the Real Estate Licensing Department of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) is the latest addition to a collection of comprehensive services offered by the DLD’s “Dubai REST,” a smart real estate app.
Property owners are expected to register and be willing to connect with the brokers and to assist them in selling or renting their property to gain from the new and existing services offered by the application. The owners have the option to deactivate their accounts whenever they wish from Green List.
This service promotes active communication between owners and brokers while also reducing the complaints of the owners that brokers are reaching out to them without their consent.
Green List will help ensure a fruitful communication as only legitimate brokers can contact owners. Further direct marketing, which is a major real estate violation that leads to an increase in the price of real estate transactions and the number of vacant properties will be reduced. Thus Green List is capable of getting rid of many loopholes and serving the owners, tenants and brokers effectively.
“Since the green list helps to directly link the owners to the real estate brokers, it also provides a flexible and transparent communication channel to enhance relations between both parties and achieve mutually beneficial results in a cost-effective manner.”
This initiative supports RERA’s strategic objectives, including the introduction of innovative services to ensure the satisfaction of consumers by developing a qualified real estate business sector and creating a technologically developed platform for regulating real estate, as well as offering robust monitoring and regulation to ensure the protection and integrity of consumer data.
