Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading digital bank, has unveiled Request to Pay feature on its Fawran instant payment service, reinforcing the QIB’s commitment to providing innovative financial solutions.

The Fawran Request to Pay allows the customers to request an instant payment from a registered Fawran user through QIB mobile application. Fawran sends requests to the payer at any bank by simply providing their name and amount. Once confirmed by the payer, the transfer is instant, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction.

QIB has incorporated the Request to Pay feature to improve payment and transfer processes, as a part of their ongoing efforts to comply with Qatar’s Third Financial Sector Strategy. This initiative supports Qatar’s vision of emerging as a leader in the field of digital banking and financial services.

Fawran, a word that means “instantly” in Arabic, simplifies the payment and transfer process for both new and existing customers. By utilizing alternative identifiers for account information, customers can send and receive money instantly without traditional recipient details, making the process effortless. By facilitating quick transfer, Fawran offers a fast and secure electronic payment solution available 24X7.

The Farwan system guarantees safety, security and speed during the local transfer process, as well as credits the recipients’ accounts within seconds. The customers can transfer up to QAR 50,000 (USD 13,681.59). The Fawran service also permits the customers to manage the connection of aliases with their preferred accounts and monitors their transaction through payment history.

With the QIB mobile app, customers can register with their active ATM/Debit card number and PIN without any difficulty, using App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery. Customers can manage their accounts, cards and transaction through the app while fulfilling the bank requirements remotely. In addition to this, the QIB enables the customers to open a new account, receive instant personal financing or perks such as credit cards and more accounts.
