Qatar Chamber with the delegates from Kenya explored several ways to enhance trade and investment partnership between the private sectors in the two countries, and the investment opportunities available in Kenya in agriculture, industry and infrastructure.
Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mr. Mohamed bin Twar Al-Kuwari met HE Lawrence Karanja, Minister of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development of the Republic of Kenya at Qatar Chamber’s headquarters.
The meeting reviewed economic and commercial ties between both countries and looked into ways to boost them, areas of cooperation between the Qatari and Kenyan private sector, as well as reviewing investment opportunities available in Kenya in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, and infrastructure.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kuwari highlighted that Qatar Chamber supports and promotes strengthening cooperation between companies from both countries and forging alliances between them in various sectors such as agriculture and food security, especially since Qatar places great significance on food security and aims to develop it in a way that comes in line with the development of the state.
For his part, the Kenyan Minister hailed the relations between his country and Qatar, calling on Qatari investors to invest in Kenya which has plenty of opportunities in most sectors.
HE Karanja also said that both countries own tremendous potentials that stimulate fruitful cooperation between them, citing the possibility of organizing a business forum that brings together Qatari and Kenyan businessmen to discuss ways of boosting cooperation and establishing partnerships for the advantage of both countries economies.
