Qatar Airways (QA) and Hamad International Airport (HIA) will support Expo 2023 Doha, which will be held from 2 October 2023 to 28 March 2024 at Al Bidda Park.
According to the statement, Qatar Airways and HIA will be the official airline partner and strategic partner, respectively.
Expo 2023 Doha will be the first A1 International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in Qatar, the Middle East, and North Africa. Organized and led by the Ministry of Municipality, Expo 2023 Doha is conceived in line with the guiding principles of Qatar National Vision 2030 that puts environmental management and sustainable development at the heart of its mission.
The theme of Expo 2023 Doha is “Green Desert, Better Environment” as it aims to encourage sustainable innovation and reduce desertification.
The Ministry of Municipality hosted an official signing ceremony between Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar Airways, and HIA in this regard, marking a significant milestone for the parties who will work together to elevate Expo 2023 Doha’s tourism potential.
“A number of significant events taking place in Qatar in 2023 build upon our investment in infrastructure and our hospitality industry in order to offer more specialized tourism, world-class sporting activities including the Geneva International Motor Show and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Expo 2023 Doha Qatar is a key international addition to the calendar and will see a major focus on Climate Change. I am delighted to announce that Qatar Airways will be a leading sponsor, which will see the airline promote the Expo and encourage visitors through compelling travel packages.”
Hamad International Airport Chief Operating Officer Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said that, “We are honored to be one of the official partners of the Expo 2023 Doha and look forward to welcoming visitors to this prestigious event. As the main entry point for travelers, we aim to offer passengers arriving in Qatar an unmatched airport experience and seamless connectivity to the city of Doha and the event.”
