Qatar Ministry of Justice launches ‘2025 Legal Training Programme’

The Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies at Qatar Ministry of Justice has introduced ‘the 2025 Legal Training Programme’, which offers preparatory and specialized legal training programs for all legal professionals.

The program, designed for all legal professionals in government and non-government entities, aims to nurture legal skills of national cadres, enhance institutional work, and elevate the quality of government services. This initiative enhances Qatar’s national capabilities, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Around 114 trainees will benefit from the 2025 Legal Training Program, including 98 legal professionals in the 22nd preparatory legal program and 16 trainees in the 15th mandatory lawyer program.

The program features 102 specialized training courses, with an average of eight courses per month. The legal trainees are divided into four training groups, where each group is equipped with theoretical and practical training, enabling positive interaction with community needs and address current challenges.

As part of this, Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies held an introductory meeting for all participants in the training program. Nada Jassim Al Abdul Jabbar, Assistant Director of the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies, reviewed the Ministry of Justice’s vision, which seeks to develop the capabilities of Qatari legal and judicial staffs.

Nada Jassim also highlighted the ministry’s mission to train legal professionals, judges, public prosecutors, judicial assistants, and law enforcement officers to nurture their skills and prepare them for judicial and public prosecution roles, as well as various legal sectors.

Furthermore, Nada Al Abdul Jabbar outlined the training objectives of the program, which aims to equip participants with the skills, experiences, and attitudes necessary to perform their duties efficiently, thus contributing to the success of the organizations they work for.

The program focuses on upgrading participant’s knowledge, skills, and behaviors, ensuring they posses latest knowledge to perform their assigned tasks within their respective organizations. A comprehensive presentation highlights the trainees general duties and obligations such as requirements for attending workshops and practical applications, field visits, and more.

In addition, the participants were also informed about the attendance, leave system, evaluation mechanism, assessment criteria, and reward system for top performers at the end of the program.

Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Khalidi, Director of the Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies, stressed the significance of the training program in improving the training outcomes and enhancing training curriculum to align with national development priorities.

Al Khalidi also highlighted that the leadership’s prioritizes human capital as the foundation of development, especially for those working in government institutions.
