Ooredoo, OCCI forge MoU to support SMEs and business growth

Ooredoo has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), aimed at strengthening partnerships and creating new business opportunities across the Sultanate.

The agreement, signed by Ooredoo’s CEO and senior representatives from OCCI, will enable closer collaboration in key areas, including SME support, business engagement, and training.

One of the core initiatives under the MoU is the Sanad Office network collaboration, which will see Ooredoo work closely with 1,000 Sanad offices under the Ministry of Commerce. These offices play a pivotal role in assisting corporate and SME setups.

“This partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a significant milestone in our efforts to support the growth of local businesses. By working closely with the Sanad offices and linking into the Chamber’s vast network, we are well-positioned to create lasting value for SMEs and larger enterprises alike.”

Through a new ‘Partner Under Partner’ program, Ooredoo aims to incentivize Sanad offices to refer customers, generating an estimated OMR 120,000 in potential business opportunities.

The partnership also focuses on Training and Development, ensuring that Sanad offices are well-equipped to promote Ooredoo’s services effectively and support the company’s business model. In addition, Ooredoo will gain access to the Chamber’s extensive member network through various engagement activities, providing a platform to provide its cutting-edge business solutions to new clients.

As part of the MoU, Ooredoo will also benefit from the Chamber’s support in marketing campaigns and have access to meeting facilities, ensuring a seamless approach to reaching new customers and expanding its market presence.

With this agreement, Ooredoo is poised to make a lasting impact in supporting the Sultanate’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and enhancing business development across Oman.
