Oman’s first complete water theme park Wadina Water Park will reportedly open in the first week of September, marking a significant milestone in the tourist and aqua amusement infrastructure.

The state-of-the-art Wadina Water Park is located in Nizwa, the Sultanate’s Cultural Capital. The park serves as the perfect place for a fun-filled experience for the entire family to ‘Slide, Splash, Relax, and Enjoy’ all at one destination.

According to the reports, it is spread across 6,000 square meters and the trial runs have been taking place inviting the public to visit the premises and experience the abundant recreational facilities suiting both children and adults alike.

The Ministry of Defence Pension Fund is the promoter of the $4 million (RO 1.7 million) worth initiative. The water park is designed, developed and operated by Amjaad Holding Group while Liwan Investment is the operator of this water park, as per the reports.

“We are entering the market at the right time when the lockdown is lifted and life is getting back to normalcy and people venture out after being inside their homes for a long time” Mr. Farouk Arevalo, park manager said in a statement.

He further added that special activities for team building or staff motivational camps can be held on any given day as the park gives exactly the appropriate area for them to enjoy their special occasions and create memories with their loved ones.

A fun playground and water attractions for children such as the lazy river, speed slide, bounce back, super bowl, and boomerang are all available. Further, it encourages guests to compete by allowing them to slide down the lanes in an attempt to beat one another to the bottom.
