Oman Air, the national airline of Oman, has entered into a reciprocal loyalty partnership with Qatar’s national airline, Qatar Airways, to offer both airlines’ Privilege Club members the loyalty miles for traveling on both airlines between Muscat and Doha.
As part of this partnership, Sindbad members can earn Sindbad miles on Qatar Airways flights, reciprocally, Privilege Club members can earn Qmiles on Oman Air flights. Members of both loyalty programs will be able to redeem their miles for flights on either airline between the two cities.
“The strong relationship between Oman Air and Qatar Airways offers a world of exciting travel possibilities and we’re delighted that our Sindbad members can now earn and redeem Sindbad miles for travel on Qatar Airways between Muscat and Doha. We’re equally delighted to welcome Qatar Airways Privilege Club members onboard Oman Air flights on the popular sector, where they can earn and spend Qmiles.”
Mr. Akbar al-Baker, Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways stated, “Qatar Airways is delighted to launch this new partnership with Oman Air, offering valued members flying between Qatar and Oman significant opportunities to earn and spend miles across both airlines. This new loyalty partnership cements our dedication to the Sultanate of Oman, and we will remain committed to creating more unique opportunities to reward our members, in addition to offering various avenues to use Qmiles with our airline partners.”
The loyalty program partnership follows the strengthening of the relationship between both airlines and builds on the benefits of expanded code-sharing. Last year, Oman Air and Qatar Airways entered into a partnership deal that would allow both airlines to expand commercial operations, boost connectivity and enhance travel options.
The code-share collaboration will help to expand the number of destinations available to Oman Air passengers from three to sixty-five on Qatar Airways’ network across Africa, the US, Asia Pacific, Europe, India, and the Middle East.
Further, the passengers of Qatar Airways will benefit from additional connectivity, with the ability to book travel on an additional six destinations across Africa and Asia in Oman Air’s network.
