The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources will organize the second Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (MIPF) under the United Nations Industrial Development (UNIDO) to strengthen partnerships and to develop innovative policies in industrial sector.
The Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum will take place on October 23-24 in Riyadh, and will revolve around the theme, “Transforming Challenges into Sustainable Solutions through Industrial Policies,” where around 3,000 attendees from around the world including decision makers, CEOs, specialists, industry leaders are expected.
The forum will hold a ministerial meeting with global leaders to discuss on industrial policies, challenges, and solutions. There’ll be also be interactive sessions on the use of clean energy in industry and best practices to improve supply chain resilience. The latest digital manufacturing technologies including artificial intelligence will be explored.
This will fall in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy, with an aim to support competitiveness while strengthening innovation in industrial sector. The forum will also delve into the integration of technologies in industrial sector, to tackle challenges by promoting regional as well as global development through innovative solutions.
The MIPF will set an exhibition to showcase all the achievements of the kingdom’s industrial sector, highlighting the forum’s initiative to localize promising industries and also the unique investment opportunities offered by the industrial sector.
This initiative shows Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing a more sustainable industrial sector. The forum will not only bolster the partnership between Saudi Arabia and UNIDO, but also reinforces the kingdom’s position in global industrial innovation.
