Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), a leading digital bank in the UAE, has partnered with Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) in order to launch the Mbank Wallet services across more than 120 Emarat service stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Emarat is one of the pioneers in the nation’s petroleum industry with a wide network of service stations and distribution facilities across the UAE.

Customers will soon be able to enjoy the convenience of seamless and contactless payment transactions at Emarat stations on fuel and convenience store ‘Freshplus’ products. They will only need to scan the QR code at the checkout counter using their phones.

Furthermore, through Mbank Wallet, consumers will gain access to a set of services that will allow them to earn and shop with MPoints, get exclusive offers from the Mbank Lifestyle Club, and redeem rewards.

Mr. Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Director General at Emarat, said that, “We are proud of Emarat’s distinguished reputation as a customer-centric brand that consistently explores new technologies and innovations to enhance customer satisfaction. We believe that this partnership with Mbank will greatly enhance the customer experience at our stations, as it introduces flexible, secure, and seamless alternative payment solutions.”

Mbank Wallet is the first digital wallet in the United Arab Emirates that has been approved and licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE.

According to the statement, “Users are not required to create a bank account to use it, enabling them to open an account with their Emirates ID and issue money transfers to and from other UAE banks via IBAN only.”
