The new PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier from the South Korean tech giant LG is a high-tech face mask that not only purifies the air but also has a number of useful functions that guarantee a pleasant everyday use while also ensuring that don’t get words muffled behind the mask.
The company said that while being a necessity, it can’t be denied that face masks can cause discomforts such as fogging up eyeglasses, making the jaw sweat, and restricting airflow while breathing hard.
As a result, the company made the decision to create a product that is not only safe but also minimizes the difficulties. The end result is a revolutionary personal air solution that is not only more effective than standard masks but also more fashionable.
The LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier features significant upgrades in its beta model, including a smaller, lighter, and more efficient motor.
LG claimed that the lightweight design of their new mask makes it more comfortable to wear during the day. It’s only 94 grams and can be worn comfortably for up to eight hours with its 1,000mAh battery, which recharges in two hours.
The company added that PuriCare’s sleek, ergonomic shape minimizes air leakage around the nose and chin to create a tight but comfortable seal for hours.
The mask also has an integrated microphone and speaker powered by VoiceON technology, which eliminates the need for the wearer to pull down the mask or raise their voice to talk.
The technology detects when a user is speaking and amplifies his/ her voice through the speaker so that listeners don’t have to strain or lean in to hear every word. While the device will be launched in Thailand in August, the company will wait for regulators’ approval before expanding it to other markets. A price hasn’t been disclosed yet.
