Saudi Arabia is set to host the 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) from December 15-19, 2024, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

The 19th edition will feature four main topics: Harnessing innovation and balancing risks in the digital space; Enhancing the digital contribution to peace, development and sustainability; Advancing human rights and inclusion in the digital age; and Improving digital governance for the Internet We Want.

The forum provides a global multistakeholder platform to address and explore public policy issues related to the internet, where information and experience will be shared to find solutions.

Over 10,000 participants from 160 countries, including more than 1,000 international speakers, are expected to attend. This edition aims to reach consensus among governments, private sector, and non-profit organizations on policies for enhanced internet governance worldwide.

IGF 2024 highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to digital development and its status as a pioneer in ICT and digital governance. This will reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a global hub, also aligning with Saudi Arabia’s dedication to achieving the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
