The global tech ecosystem of Abu Dhabi, Hub71, has entered into two partnerships with leading academic institutions, the United Arab Emirates University’s Science and Innovation Park (UAEU SIP) and INSEAD Middle East Campus to train and attract science and technological talents in the emirate to the tech community.

With Hub71’s new partnerships, each institution will be benefitted from the tech ecosystem’s network of partners and expert mentors to support students and alumni along with priority access to the startups for the Hub71 Incentive Programme. The collaboration also includes innovation workshops, joint programs, events, hackathons and access to WeWork x Hub71 co-working space.

Further, the partnership offers graduate recruitment and internship opportunities at Hub71 startups, stimulating job creation with an aim to deepen Abu Dhabi’s talent pool.

“Our partnerships with world-class academic institutions will provide students and entrepreneurs with the tools to develop their digital skills, technological acumen and experiences so that we foster the next generation of entrepreneurs who will grow to sustain innovation in Abu Dhabi.”

Commenting on the new partnership Peter Zemsky, the Eli Lilly Chaired Professor of Strategy and Innovation, Deputy Dean, Dean of Innovation at INSEAD, stated, “We are excited to grow talent and support digital transformation and innovation in Abu Dhabi together with Hub71. This partnership will also open a world of opportunities for the INSEAD community to collaborate and engage with a dynamic ecosystem of innovators and startups in one of the world’s most forward-looking environments.”

Following the mission to enhance its community of founders and entrepreneurs with expert guidance, Hub71 is hosting a pool of accomplished mentors from diverse backgrounds to support their startup pursuits. Founders will be paired with mentors from startups, corporates and other innovation streams to boost knowledge exchange.

To provide easier access to a global pool of tech talent, Hub71 has partnered with Yougig to introduce a simple-to-use online marketplace exclusively for its startup community to access more than 1 million high-quality tech developers worldwide at exclusive rates.

Hub71 will start the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Decoded series in a hybrid format in February. The session titled ‘Your Community Awaits’, will focus on the leading role education, academic research and community developers play in sustaining innovation and creating a tech cluster rooted in high-quality talent.
