Renowned UAE-based maintenance company, Farnek Group’s Hitches & Glitches (H&G) has unveiled a dedicated section to offer a full range of services for independent restaurants, bakeries, and hotel kitchens around the country.
H&G’s new division is expected to address key problems currently plaguing commercial kitchens in the UAE.
The availability of gas and power for stoves and ovens, fryer temperature issues, dishwashers that don’t work effectively, clogged sinks and drains, refrigeration, as well as air conditioning and ventilation, are some of the problems dealt with by commercial kitchens on a daily basis.
“Addressing these issues requires a dedicated and experienced, specialist maintenance team with multi-skill sets,” Mr. Zohaib Azhar, Head of Operations at Hitches & Glitches highlighted.
“Many hotels made kitchen technicians redundant during the pandemic and now rely on external contractors to fulfill this role. There is a dearth of quality companies that have dedicated teams specializing in commercial kitchen maintenance. Many small independent firms do exist, but they do not necessarily have the support of a larger organization to plan regular preventative maintenance visits, test equipment, source parts and offer a 24/7 emergency response. Furthermore, technology is transforming the way in which kitchens function and technicians need to be highly skilled and up-to-date with the latest equipment.”
With the assistance of its parent company Farnek, H&G’s new specialized section is able to promptly and expertly get spare parts from recognized vendors both domestically and abroad, for any type of kitchen equipment, whether it’s as simple as changing a component, or more extensive service support during a refurbishment, or even installing a complete kitchen in a new restaurant, H&G can also provide and install kitchen equipment.
Additionally, kitchen hygiene is of utmost importance and calls for highly qualified and experienced cleaners to guarantee that kitchen setting adhere to the local government’s most recent health and safety laws.
