The tech giant Google has unveiled ‘Gmail Q&A’, a new Gemini-powered feature for its Workspace users, allowing them to search their inbox more efficiently.

The feature, already available in the web version of Gmail, is expanding to Android app. Gmail Q&A will soon roll out for iOS as well. With this feature, users can easily look up specific information from emails in the inbox.

The feature can be accessed from the top-right corner of the Gmail app, but the users need to be signed into their Google Workspace account. In addition to searching information from the inbox, users can ask questions to Gemini to locate specific detail, to view unread messages, and see messages from a specific sender.

Moreover, as we are living in a world with an increasingly rapid pace of life, Gmail Q&A’s ‘summarize this email’ feature will assist users in obtaining concise and clarified versions of lengthy emails.

Google plans to roll out the AI feature for Google Drive in future, to help users find information from the files and documents. According to the blog post by the company, it can take up to 15 days to be available for all Workspace users, although the feature has been launched.

To access this feature, Workspace users need to subscribe one of the following add-ons: Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium, and Google One AI Premium. Google has also launched Gemini extensions for Google Keep and Google Tasks. Workspace users with a Pixel 9 series smartphone can access Google Keep and Google Tasks directly within the Gemini app using text prompts.
