Exito Media Concepts has hosted its highly anticipated DevOps Summit in Dubai, bringing together over 100 senior executives, directors, and thought leaders from the DevOps and cybersecurity sectors.
The event started with a welcoming registration session, setting the stage for a day of insightful discussions and networking opportunities.
The opening speech by Mohammed Omar, Sales Director for EMEA at Exito Media Concepts, emphasized the growing importance of DevOps and security in today’s fast-paced business environment, setting the tone for the expert-led discussions that followed.
One of the key sessions, “Fortifying DevOps: Deploying Advanced Security Measures within CI/CD Pipelines,” moderated by Dr. Yoonus Ahammed, Director of Data Science-Transaction Monitoring at Confidential, focused on integrating security practices into development workflows. The session featured Daniel Howe, Senior Sales Engineer at Fastly, and Shivendra Saxena, Chief Information Security Officer at Emeritus, who delved into crucial topics such as DevSecOps, container security, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The speakers discussed methods to protect pipelines and runtime environments from rising cyber threats.
Networking sessions proved to be a valuable aspect of the event, with 96 percent of attendees finding them essential for exchanging ideas and building new business relationships. A particularly engaging session in the afternoon, “Futuristic DevOps,” moderated by Manish Aggarwal, Chief Information Officer at MH Enterprises LLC, featured experts from leading organizations like Ducab, Sinyar, Bin Dasmal Group, Standard Chartered Bank, and HSBC.
The panelists discussed the transformative impact of AI and machine learning (ML) on DevOps, covering topics such as predictive issue resolution, intelligent automation, and optimization strategies to improve system performance and streamline DevOps workflows.
Later, the summit concluded with the session “Continuous Delivery 2.0: Orchestrating Advanced Pipelines for Enterprise-Scale Deployments,” moderated by Nithesh Pejavar, Head of Enterprise Applications & Data Analytics at Aster DM Healthcare. The session featured insights from Shirish Gupta, Senior Director of Data Science at Emirates NBD, Tamer Sherif, Director of ICT at InterContinental Hotels Group, and Gaurav Manaktala, Group Head IT at RAK Hospital, who shared valuable perspectives on scaling enterprise systems and ensuring their resilience through AI and advanced orchestration tools.
