Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), a leading district cooling services provider in the UAE, has awarded a design contract for its second cooling plant in Jumeirah Village.

The Jumeirah Village project, Empower’s largest district cooling project, involves six next-generation plants with a total cooling capacity of 256,000 tons. The new plant, with a production capacity of approximately 37,000 RT, will serve to a wide range of properties within Jumeirah Village development, such as residential buildings, commercial complexes, hotels, and other facilities.

The new cooling plant will join the existing world’s first unmanned district cooling plant, which serves 114 buildings with a production capacity of 49,000 refrigeration tons (RT). The plant will be equipped with advanced cooling technologies to minimize energy and water consumption.

Jumeirah Village is an ideal haven for individuals and families, with its proximity to green spaces, schools, shopping centers, entertainment venues, fitness facilities, and more. The project spans over two distinct areas: Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) covering 560 hectares and Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT) spanning 242 hectares.
