EDGE Group, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX) in Baku, being held from 24 to 26 September.

The collaboration will support the country’s industrial growth, national capabilities, and self-sufficiency in critical defense domains.

Under the LoI, EDGE and the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense will establish a collaboration on the production and integration of smart weapons systems. The LoI underscores EDGE’s commitment to offering world-class solutions for the region’s dynamic operational environment and to address Azerbaijan’s specific mission requirements.

The international military exhibition, ADEX, is the region’s largest event in the field of defense industry providing the participants with a unique opportunity to meet with the military leadership of Azerbaijan, as well as the international military and defense community. ADEX is a platform for selling your products through direct buyers, ordering companies, influencers and end users.

Nearly 270 participants from 40 countries are expected to take part in the event. In addition to Azerbaijan, the participating countries include Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, UK, USA, and others.

This year’s exhibitions have been refreshed with new companies, which make up 34 percent of the total number of participants. Among the participating countries, Hungary, Qatar, Singapore, and Slovakia are new additions to the exhibitions compared to 2022.
