Economist Impact, a leading provider of international forums, is set to organize the fourth Global Trade and Supply Chain Summit on 8-9, October, 2024, at JW Marriott Hotel Marina in Dubai.

The summit, supported by the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to provide a platform to navigate the complexities of the current trade ecosystem and promote efficient, resilient and future-proof supply chains.

The fourth edition will bring together 500 industry leaders from around the world to address global conflict and the rising need for sustainable operations. The participants will gain insights into the UAE’s strategy for economic diversification. They will also explore trade policies of the American presidential candidates and practical impacts of AI technology on procurement and supply chains.

The summit will feature some notable speakers including Willem Uijen, chief procurement officer, Unilever; Rachael Legg, interim chief procurement officer, Rolls-Royce; and Heidi Landry, chief procurement officer, MedTech, Johnson & Johnson.

Policy and new globalization, Tech-powered trade: innovation and AI and Digital trade and automation will be discussed. The summit is sponsored by Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, JP Morgan, DP World, SAP, Schneider Electric, DMCC, Citi, ECI.

Last year, the third Global Trade and Supply Chain Summit gathered thought leaders, trade and supply chain policymakers, analysts, UN representatives and C-level officials from around the world. The edition revolved around several themes including digital trade and technology, economic turmoil impacting logistical planning and supply chain management, the changing role of customs organizations and compliance teams, and implementing sustainability initiatives along the supply chain.
