Dubai Chambers, in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation, held a workshop to explore opportunities in Dubai’s gaming sector.
The session focused on the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, which aims to position Dubai as a top global hub for gaming, create 30,000 jobs, and increase the sector’s contribution to Dubai’s GDP to $1 billion by 2033.

The workshop brought together stakeholders, including game developers, hardware experts, and AI specialists, to discuss strategies for industry growth and economic value. Discussions also covered Dubai’s efforts to compete with established gaming markets and opportunities for collaboration.
The Dubai Chamberof Digital Economy highlighted the gaming sector’s role in the upcoming Expand North Star event at Dubai Harbour from 13 – 16 October. The significance of gaming in the ‘App Olympics,’ part of the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative, was also discussed.
Representatives from the Dubai Future Foundation participated in a panel discussion on resource allocation and regulatory frameworks. The workshop also reviewed efforts by Dubai authorities to develop the gaming industryand foster collaboration.
