Doha Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Qatar, has signed an agreement with Bank Al Habib Limited, a Pakistani commercial bank owned by the Dawood Habib Family, for instant, simple and secure transaction processing.
The arrangement will support the online electronic fund transfer from Doha Bank to Pakistan. The agreement was signed at Doha Bank head office by Doha Bank Acting CEO & Chief Treasury and Investment Officer Mr. Gudni Stiholt Adalsteinsson and Bank AL Habib Divisional Head, Business Development Mr. Qamber Ali.
Highlighting the presence of the Pakistani community in Qatar, Mr. Gudni said that “Doha Bank is committed to serving the non-residents from Pakistan and this tie-up will benefit the Pakistani community in Qatar.”

Bank AL Habib continues to play a vital role in routing remittances through banking channels and feels immense pleasure to provide our services in collaboration with Doha Bank. These services will be offered Free of charge for customers under the Pakistan Remittance Initiative scheme.”
Doha Bank Deputy CEO Sheikh Abdulrahman Fahad Al Thani and Chief Retail Banking Officer Mr. Braik Ali H S Al Marri were present on the occasion for the signing ceremony. Mr. Braik mentioned that this tie-up is in addition to the arrangements in place for Indian, Filipino, Sri Lankans and Egyptian residents in Qatar to remit funds in a secure and cost-effective manner.
