DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise is entering a partnership with Bull & Roo Hospitality and Investments for the second time.
The new 10-year lease agreement by DMCC and Bull & Roo is part of an upcoming retail and Food & Beverage (F&B) concept which will be launched in the second quarter of 2021 in the heart of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Central Park.
The deal will include bespoke 3-level community retail and F&B space, with Bull & Roo, who are famous for pioneering homegrown and socially responsible concept cafes such as Tom & Serg, The Sum Of Us and Common Grounds.
DMCC will bring the unique design, build and delivery of the retail space while Bull & Roo will add life to the concept through their interiors, conceptualization and retail operations of the space.
With this partnership, DMCC aims to improve the JLT lifestyle offering to both its residents as well as visitors and cement its position as a vibrant urban district. The partnership shows the commodities center’s commitment to work along with partners and member companies, serving their space needs and promoting businesses within both the retail and business sectors in JLT.
The F&B concept is designed to provide a wide range of dining options to explore, the community-focused retail hub will spread over 3 levels in 12,000 sq/ft of indoor and outdoor space, offering a casual and contemporary dining experience.
The ground floor will include a café, bakery and healthy food for the daily routine along with a kids’ play area. Level 1 will be a modern eatery with a woodfire pizza oven and an alfresco dining provision at the rooftop.
“We are delighted to partner with Bull & Roo for the second time and proud that they chose the vibrant JLT community for their latest project. The concept that we are designing and the building is truly unique. The project represents an exciting moment not only for us and our wider community of 100,000 people but also for visitors and neighboring communities in Dubai.”
“JLT is already one of the most active, diverse and dynamic communities in the city. With enhanced retail offerings and even more exciting lifestyle experiences available, DMCC is taking JLT to the next level and setting in stone its reputation as Dubai’s destination of choice to live, work and thrive,” Mr. Sulayem further added.
Tom Arnel, Managing Director, Bull & Roo Hospitality and Investments stated that “We want to give the Dubai resident a place where all are welcome, a true community hub that becomes a home away from home for all occasions. Bull & Roo always aim to be ahead of the game in terms of trends and food quality and we continue to do this as we expand and develop new projects for the region.”
The first partnership between DMCC and Bull & Roo Hospitality and Investments was in April 2019 for bringing Common Grounds to Almas Tower.
JLT has seen its retail space grow to 835 outlets and hosts famous F&B international and home-grown brands such as Jamie Oliver Pizzeria, Pickl Burger, Mythos, Nola and UBK.
