Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has received the Excellence Award for ‘Strategic Alignment’ from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Global PMO Alliance (PMI-PMOGlobal), in recognition of its exceptional success in aligning projects with national strategies, particularly in the fields of technology and space.
This award honors organizations that have demonstrated exceptional alignment between their project management practices and their strategic business objectives.
Further, it acknowledges the successful integration of project management methodologies to drive the organization’s overall strategic vision and goals, ensuring that projects deliver maximum value and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.
The CST was selected as the winner after competing against more than 75 global entities, showcasing its commitment to excellence in project management, innovation, and national development.
According to a CST press release, the commission won the award for its exceptional performance and leadership in the strategic alignment for project portfolios with strategic plans, as well as for its continuous commitment to developing competencies and providing its teams with the best expertise, to keep pace with the sector’s rapid changes.
CST won the Excellence Award in the field of “Knowledge Management” in 2023. Moreover, in 2022, CST received the Global PMO Alliance Award last year as one of the top three Project Management Offices (PMOs) in the Asia-Pacific region, along with the “PMO of the Year” award within the Global Project Excellence Awards track, presented by PMI.
