Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has introduced ‘Competition on Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G’, in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The goal of this competition is to offer innovative solutions for 6G non-terrestrial networks (NTN), promoting research and innovation in the field of non-terrestrial networks and future communications. CST targets students and junior scientists to submit their unique ideas to ‘connect the unconnected’ through NTN systems and networks.
The deadline for the submission of scientific and research papers is September 15, 2024. Top 10 ideas will be chosen from the submitted papers, and the selected participants will get the opportunity to take part in the exciting ‘Connecting the World from the Skies’ forum.
Connecting the World from the Skies forum, co-hosted by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST), is an event that aims to provide a platform for policy makers, industry leaders, and technical experts from around the world.
The forum will take place in Riyadh on November 25-26, exploring the evolution of Non-terrestrial Networks (NTNs), and the significant role of NTNs in shaping the future of global connectivity.
The event will discuss the challenges as well as the opportunities coming ahead, exploring emerging collaborative solutions that provide seamless connectivity and a future of boundless possibilities.
In addition to getting a chance to participate in the forum, top three ideas will receive grand prizes. These awards aim to honor the most innovative and impactful contributions by students and young researchers in the field of Non-Terrestrial Networks.
