China State Construction appointed as main contractor for Oceano development

The UAE-based real estate firm The Luxe Developers has appointed China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Middle East) (L.L.C) as its main contractor for its AED1.5 billion ($408 million) Oceano development in Al Marjan Island.

The company, headquartered in Beijing, is the largest construction company in the world by revenue, and will carry out main construction, completion and maintenance for the pioneering project. All enabling works, such as shoring, piling and excavation, have been completed by S.S. Lootah Foundations.

Oceano, set to be completed by 2026, comprises 206 units over 18 storeys and includes one-four bedroom apartments, six penthouses, and the two exclusive sky villas.

The development, located on a unique corner plot on Al Marjan Island, spans across a built-up area (BUA) of 79,000 sqm. It will feature an infinity pool with panoramic views of Arabian Sea connecting the twin tower development, cutting-edge fitness facilities with gyms and yoga studios, and rejuvenating spa services.

The development also includes a range of unique design attributes, such as free-flowing glass facades and minimalist frames. Each floor rotates on different planes, offering unique and uninterrupted view of the Arabian Gulf for each resident.
