Bahraini Finance Minister pledges to nourish Greece partnership

The Bahrain Finance Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa meets with Greece Ministers

Bahraini Finance and National Economy Minister, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Bahrain and Greece, especially in the economic and investments fields.

The Finance Minister also stressed the need to keep the ties to achieve the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples and open up wider financial and economic cooperation with friendly countries, in a way that would achieve the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in line with the efforts exerted by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Minister made the statements during the ministerial meeting with Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, Greek Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Vasilis Kikilias, Minister of Tourism, and other officials.

An official delegation from the kingdom, including Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Mr. Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyad, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Mr. Khalid Humaidan, Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board (EDB), Mr. Hamad Yacoub Al-Mahmeed, Undersecretary for Research and Projects at the Prime Minister’s Office, participated in the meeting.

Members of the official delegation affirmed the importance of visits aimed at enhancing financial cooperation and developing investments between Bahrain and Greece, as well as boosting bilateral relations at all levels.

Greece and Bahrain have established international relations since 1973. The Greek Embassy in Kuwait is accredited to represent the country in Bahrain. Greece and Bahrain have always had friendly relations.
